Delivery Policy

Important Information about Deliveries

Dirt and Sea (“we” and “us”) is the operator of https://www.dirtandsea.com.au, https://www.dirtandsea.com, https://www.dirtandsea.au (“Website”).

By placing an order through our Website customers will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure that both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.

General

All sales are subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy which prevents us from fulfilling all order items at the time of purchase. If we can’t fulfill the complete order, we will fulfill the affected order with the products that are available and will contact the buyer to inform them that the order will be only partly filled. The buyer will be offered the choice of either a) waiting for the out-of-stock item to be restocked or b) a refund for that part of the order which was not fulfilled.

Shipping Costs

Where applicable, shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Any payments required for shipping will be collected at the time of purchase and the price paid will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer. For international orders, the customer is liable for any import duties, customs charges or any other duties or taxes levied by the country of destination.

Delivery Terms

Transit Time within Australia

In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 2 to 7 days. Dirt and Sea uses Australia Post Express Post for most items under 1 m in length.

International Transit Time

Most orders shipped internationally are in transit for 4 to 22 days. The estimated transit time will be calculated after the customer completes their address information at the time of checkout.

Dispatch Time

Orders are usually dispatched within 2 business days of payment of order. Dirt and Sea endeavours to dispatch items ordered before 1pm Western Australia Standard time (+8 hours GMT) on the same day, and orders placed after 1pm, on weekends or on public holidays on the next business day.

Our warehouse operates on Monday – Friday during standard business hours, except on public holidays, at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays are kept to a minimum.

Change of Delivery Address

A change of delivery address can be requested at any time before an order has been dispatched. Requests should contain the order number and the desired delivery address, and should be sent to sales@dirtandsea.com

Delivery to Post Office Boxes

Dirt and Sea will ship to Australian P.O. box addresses using Australian postal services only. We are unable to ship items carried by courier services to these locations. We cannot ship to PO boxes in other countries.

Estimated Delivery Time Exceeded

If the delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, customers should contact us so that we can conduct an investigation into the delay.

Tracking Notifications

When an order is shipped, customers will receive a tracking link from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider.

Damage in Transit

If a package is damaged in-transit and damage to the contents is suspected, customers should not accept the parcel from the courier, if possible, and should contact Dirt and Sea customer service at support@dirtandsea.com. If the parcel has been delivered without the customer being present, or if the customer is not able to reject the parcel delivery, customers should contact customer service so that an investigation can be launched. If possible, customers should:

  • Photograph any damage to packaging upon receipt and before opening it.
  • Photograph any observed damage to the packaged items as soon as the package has been opened. These photographs will assist Dirt and Sea’s investigation.

Cancellations

If a buyer changes his or her mind, Dirt and Sea will accept a cancellation at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been dispatched, the Dirt and Sea refund policy will apply.

Replacements

Process for parcel damaged in-transit

Dirt and Sea will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has completed their investigation into the claim.

Import Duties & Taxes

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in the destination country. The imposition of duties and taxes varies by country, and Dirt and Sea encourages customers to be aware of any potential costs that may apply to them before placing an order with us.

If a customer refuses to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at the destination country, the goods will be returned to Dirt and Sea at the customer’s expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
